The Steakhouse At The San Luis Resort, Spa & Confernece Center Earns AAA Four Diamond Award Designation

GALVESTON – The Steakhouse has been awarded the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Rating for the year 2009. Restaurants at this level offer a distinctive fine-dining experience marked by high-quality ingredients, creative presentation, and attentive service.

The Steakhouse is part of a select group of AAA Four Diamond Award winners. Just 3.9 percent of the more than 31,000 AAA Rated® lodgings and 2.8 percent of the 27,000 AAA Rated restaurants were awarded the prestigious AAA Four Diamond designation for 2009.

Featuring an innovative, Gulf Coast-inspired menu, top-notch service and a chic yet laid back atmosphere, both The Steakhouse and The Bar at The San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center are getting an upgraded look just in time for Spring.

“Our goal is to match the mood of The Steakhouse and The San Luis Bar with the flair of the menus,” said Paul.

The Steakhouse features sleek additions including one-of-a-kind handmade vases, glass art and new chandeliers. Ornate, beaded glass and a contemporary explosion of corkscrew amber glass pendants adorn the walls, while chairs covered in plush fabrics with hues of brown, green and gold compliment the restaurant’s original color palette.

Adjacent to The Steakhouse, The San Luis Bar also received a dramatic upgrade with added energy and a transition to a classic, yet modern look with bold patterns in shades of brown, green and linen.

AAA’s Diamond Rating System is the only ratings system that covers all of North America and one of only two that conducts physical, on-site evaluations. It is the only system that uses full-time, professionally trained evaluators to inspect each property on an annual basis using a set of guidelines that are made available to all establishments.
